Deborah Gross was appointed to the Commission on July 9, 2018. Originally from Montreal, she and her husband relocated to PEI in 2015 and now live in Emyvale. She is bilingual and holds a B.A. from Concordia University and multiple education certifications from McGill University.
Commissioner Gross is a retired educator. She has held positions as high school teacher, consultant with the Ministry of Education and principal at both the elementary and high school levels.
Commissioner Gross was an active member of the Board of Directors for the local Boys and Girls Club of Canada and was also involved in other community organizations that were primarily related to food security.
