Caroline is a Human Rights Legal Officer. She acts as a neutral investigator of complaints made under the Human Rights Act, assists in resolving complaints through settlement discussions and mediation, and represents the Commission at Human Rights Panel hearings and Court proceedings. Caroline is trained in restorative justice facilitation and trauma-informed lawyering.
Originally from Halifax, NS, Caroline received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Relations from Mount Allison University and her Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. Prior to beginning her legal career, Caroline worked seasonally in the PEI tourism sector as a human resource manager.
Caroline is a Board Member for the PEI John Howard Society and holds memberships in the PEI Law Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, walks with her dog, and spending time with family and friends.
